South Florida Congresswoman Introduces High School Voter Registration Act

Congresswoman Frederica Wilson introducing the High School Voter Empowerment Act today. She says it requires states to designate public high schools as voter registration sites and be reimbursed for the cost through grants. She's hoping this will boost civic engagement along with increasing student voter participation. Students must be 16-or-17 to register. Once they get a card they can vote at age 18. Students must be U-S citizens without an arrest record.
